You are imprisoned at the bottom of a tower and have escaped. Your fellow animals are out to stop you from going up and escaping. As luck would have it, you can do three simple moves; Punch Kick Duck, and that’s the title of the game. That’s all you need really, to stop them from stopping you in this fun and lovely rhythmic beat ‘em up made specifically for mobile phones.

There are a lot of ARPGs out there already, but what makes Superfuse unique is its cell-shaded comic-book art-style. It’s not just cell shaded graphics, because even the effects and texts are comic-book inspired. This is something that even Marvel and DC games have failed to utilize and capitalize on, considering they are comic-book franchises. Superfuse combines cell-shaded comic-book art style, looter elements, with some action packed hack ’n slash mechanics.

There's a certain cuteness in this game; the playful nature of the children, the slice of life presentation, and the lighthearted puzzling elements. At the same time, Children of Silentown is spooky and creepy; from the Tim Burton-esque art style with big white creepy eyes, to the foreboding nature of the story with nightmares and monsters.

From the looks of it, you might not think of Glimmer in Mirror as a metroidvania platform shooter. In fact every fiber of my being is telling me that it isn’t, it feels more like a flashy side scrolling hack and slash game, but Glimmer in Mirror is indeed a shooter in a cute anime (chibi) disguise, and that’s refreshing to see.

Released last year on PC, Rocco's Island: Ring to End the Pain has been recently ported to mobile platforms as Rocco's Island: Pocket Edition. It is exactly the same game on PC, except for the newly adapted touch controls.
